AFL4: Fight 4 - vs. Justice K.

Phew, got it done in time. Here's my final prelims fight in 's Fighting League 4. In this round, Blade's up against 's Justice Kennedy.

Not much to day about this one. I did accomplish at finally giving Blade a "seriously?" expression (panel 4) and he apparently now has an emblem (last panel). And yes, the hieroglyphs do say things. I'll put up the translations if anyone really cares. Lol now, to the poorly written story!

Blade had been wandering the corridors of the pyramid for what seemed like an eternity. Only a few hours ago, the private jet AngelCrusher had provided landed in Egypt and Blade decided to do a little "exploring". On the trip over, Blade did some research and read about a lost artifact of mystical power. That was all Blade needed to hear and was determined to find it. Before entering the pyramid, Blade told the robots and ninja bunnies to stay outside and watch guard. Back to present time, Blade rounded several corners until he saw a feint glow down a hallway. He rushed to the end to find a room...with the artifact he set out to find.
Blade: "Finally, the Staff of Tutankhamun. Said to give its wielder unbelievable mystical power."
Blade hopped up and took the staff from its pedestal. Suddenly, Blade heard a noise behind him, sounding similar to someone clearing their throat. He turned around to see a rather bulky woman approaching him.
Justice: "Now, you weren't planning on stealing that were you?"
Blade: "Well ma'am, I don't know if you are aware but I am a criminal mastermind. Stealing priceless and powerful objects is kind of my thing."
Justice: "Oh, I know you you are. After you dispensed K-9, AngelCrusher sent me, in hopes of apprehending you. My name is Officer Justice Kennedy."
Blade just looked at the camera with unamused, slightly irritated look.
Blade: "Really, AC? Another cop? We're really doing this? [sigh] Fine...Well, Officer Kennedy, since there's no cargo bays I can just drop you out of, I suppose I'll just have to dispose of you the old fashion way!"
Blade unsheathed one his sword, holding the staff in the other. He lunged at Justice. She, however, easily evaded his attack.
Justice: "Bad idea, short stuff. One way or another, you're coming with me."
Justice pulled out her bazooka and loaded one of her rubber missiles. She locked onto Blade's position and fired. Blade jumped out of the way just in time, leaving the missile to blast into the wall. As the gaping hole in the wall cracked and became bigger, both Blade and Justice heard growing rumbles from all directions.
Blade: "Perfect, now the pyramid is going to kill us. Thank you for that."
Justice: "What?! You're blaming me?!"
Blade: "Oh yes, Officer Kennedy, let's blame the other person who just blew a giant hole in the wall, setting off countless traps throughout the pyramid."
Justice paused.
Justice: "Ok, point taken but we shouldn't spend our time arguing."
The room began to shake and sand started seeping through all the cracks.
Justice: "If we work together, we'll stand a better chance of getting past the traps."
Blade: "I generally have a rule about cooperating with law enforcement but you're right. We shall put aside our differences until we escape."
The two combatants shook on their temporary alliance and ran out of the room. As soon as they entered the hallway, Blade and Justice heard a very loud rumble coming from the other end. As the rumbling grew louder, the two saw the cause: a giant boulder was rolling towards them at high speed.
Justice: "Oh, you've got to be kidding me! A giant boulder?"
Blade: "I don't think the pyramid is kidding. I suggest we run."
Blade and Justice turned tail and ran as fast as they could. Sand kept pouring from the ceiling, making it harder for both combatants to run. Suddenly, Justice spotted a few figures ahead.
Justice: "Are those...mummies?"
Blade: "Forget about the mummies! The boulder will take care of them, assuming it doesn't take care of us first."
Both ran right past the mummies and they were, in fact, crushed by the boulder. Poor mummies. Maybe they just wanted to be friends. Anyway, Blade and Justice finally saw light at the end of the tunnel.
Justice: "We're almost out! Only a little farther!"
Blade spotted a switch on the wall and a door opening ahead. From the markings on the switch, he figured it would trigger the door.
Blade: "No, Officer, I'm almost out."
Blade ran ahead and activated the switch, closing the door right in from of Justice, causing her to slam into it. Justice yelled at Blade to open the door but he just ignored her and escaped from the pyramid. Once safely out, Blade took a minute to breathe...and noticed for the first time that he still has the staff.
Blade: "I had this the entire time? Huh, I probably could have used its powers to save Officer Kennedy and myself...oh well."
Blade then heard Justice's screams coming from the pyramid but he just shrugged and started walking towards his landing helicopter.
