TDI: The Lost Campers

And this is what I do instead of doing my math homework. Lol. Anyway, here's the colored version. I have to say I'm, for the most part, really happy with how this came out. I'm most proud of Luca since he came out nearly perfect.

Anyway, for anyone who was wondering what's up with the title of this piece (all two of you), lemme explain. I've had this kind of picture in my head for quite some time. It was supposed to coincide with a story I was going to write, which was basically a rewrite of the first season with a few new campers introduced, a few new challenges added; basically, an alternate storyline for TDI. But a lot of thing kept that story from ever being written. Mostly me never having the time and the frustration of trying to write for the other characters. Originally, the new campers were going to be Luca, JD, Mina (permission pending, of course) and a fourth newbie that I never decided on. And is doing such a great job with her TDI OC story that I just decided to scrap the whole idea entirely.

This picture made me realize why I love drawing in Flash now. With Flash, I can go back and edit, take apart or whatever to the picture if I ever want to. Say, if I wanted to insert some more characters (which I may, I don't know), I could! But anyway, I'll stop rambling. I really do like how this came out and hope that the OC owners feel I've done their characters sufficient justice.

EDIT: I want to give a HUGE thanks to Exile, who never ceases to amaze me, gracious took the time to give me some pointers on how to fix Morgane's legs and even made a nifty diagram to show me what she meant. I think it looks loads better so thanks Exile for helping me out. ^^

WIP Comments

Ok, I usually don't put up my WIPs but I needed to put this up somewhere before I ended up royally screwing this picture up.

I spent most of my night doing this...ok, this actually the 2nd or 3rd version. The others are now crumpled balls under my desk. Anyhoo! This is a picture I've been wanting to do for quite some time. I wanted to draw a group shot (cuz you all know how I love drawing those) of a few of the TDI OCs here on dA and since Exile finally put up her own OC, I could get to work!

The character selection were of ones I'm familiar with so sorry if yours didn't make it. Luca was put in since he's one of my best friends here on dA, Cleo (Exile's OC) and Mina were put in since I have deep respect for their creators as artists, Ryan and Andrew were put in since their owners are watchers and comment frequently (I think. Lol.) and Morgane (I think that's right?) is in because her owner was the first person, that I saw, to take a realistic Bridgette picture. And JD was put in because...well, I think that one is obvious. Also, I changed JD's outfit to his newer one since he and Ryan already look enough alike (hence Ryan's expression).

As awesome as I think this picture came out, there's still plenty wrong with it so I'll touch it up when I color it, which I hope to do sometime this weekend. Stay tuned and I hope you guys like how your characters came out.
